This is a little random but I’ve gotten some peace from this community and I wonder if others share the same struggle. Does anyone else take care of mentally ill parents? I have one at home and some days are harder than others. I struggle to maintain confidence when all I’m hearing is terrible things about myself from someone who isn’t in their right mind. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an adult woman who is proud of my accomplishments, but some days are just hard to shake. Any advice?

I deeply miss my ex. The breakup was initiated by me 5 years ago because I was scared to commit. Since then, I’ve gotten married and have a daughter. Does anyone else suffer with paralysis? Mine is so bad I don’t even know what to do anymore. In example, something as simple as responding to a text with a heart and a “happy thanksgiving to you too” was all I needed to do and I didn’t. Now it’s Sunday and I feel awful responding so late. I’m procrastinating with life errands and feeling the burn. I do the biggest bare minimum at work and I’m pretty sure people are started to notice. Everything is making my anxiety and overthinking worse.

I am deeply shocked and hurt for the kind of things she has spoken for me and for my family in front of everyone, I don’t want to live with her anymore, i am feel very low and lonely but i fear that they would drag my family to the court and imply fake FIR as they say and she said very clearly that she will not let me walk out of this marriage easily. They have trapped us by pretending like a very good family with values, and showed their true colours after the marriage. Please suggest

Any 🐠 here with fibromyalgia that have managed to deal with sudden flare ups impacting timeline of return of deliverables? Yesterday and today have been complete washes due to first, all over body pain and today, added brain fog and extreme fatigue. I can’t think, can barely lift a pinky. I have items that I expected to get out but are now taking longer and not getting the focus I’d usually bring. Has FM interrupted your schedule before and how did you deal with it?

I am in self-contained. Our students are never sent home even tho they are obviously ill. Only projectile vomiting sends a student home. So then we staff get sick because of our close contact, toileting, etc, and have to use our sick days and then run out of sick days. Anyone else experiencing this?

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

How do you care less? I know this sounds like a strange question but I feel like I try too hard and I end up getting burned out or feel resentment. It also isn’t getting me anywhere lol. No one is asking me to go above and beyond and now I feel like I should just collect the check and do the minimum at this point. Question: I’ve been friends with this person for 7 years. I’m pretty controversial in my views and when it gets too wild she just tells me to STFU and I do. Well, tonight she was pissing me off and I told her to STFU for the first time ever and she didn’t. I just up on her on a group call with our other friend and they’re asking if I’m ok… I keep telling them nothing I say is going to be helpful so I just won’t. I want to cuss her out and tell her about herself (relevant to the argument). Help
