75k, 28yo. Aiming for $250k by 30yo.
28 y/o 130k. Glad to see quite a few with their shit together so early on
$3.1M with my partner, mainly tied to real estate
Yeah that makes sense that it’s mostly wealth transfer to get this in age bracket
Student debt
Relatable
Just hit 30. Not sure net worth, but in total, probably around 400-450K but that's also dual income.
Not including all the little stuff that we have as well, mainly just larger assets like condo and car along with savings and investments
That's amazing. By dual income, you mean through two jobs or two earners (your partner)
Also, can you share your TC?
$50k saved
25 year old. Bought my first place (490k) last year with 20% down (~95?k) and now I have about 70k left in cash/investments
Mentor
30 years old, married with 3 children.
I am sitting on just shy of $19M.
I did not earn that, we inherited 5.5M and i invested that and more than tripled in about 7 years.
Me and wife make ~275k combined and things are obviously OK.
Without the inheritance and investments, we wouldn’t be making that much and even 275k is not enough for a family in Canada no matter what people say.
Vacation should not be a luxury, or having less than 5 year old cars. Canada made people think they are all luxuries but they are not. Our friends, to save money, are cancelling disney and netflix subscriptions. This is the reality
“275k is not enough for a family in Canada no matter what people say.”
Meanwhile people are doing it on average salaries all over the country. Owned a house on $65k salary at the time with my family, only income earner as well.
I’ll have what you’re smoking M2!
I feel like I’m still falling behind and whatever I’ve saved isn’t enough. I’m currently sitting at around $290k.
You’re miles ahead of the majority of 28 year olds. Stay out of the threads about $300,000+ compensation at 25 years old with a net worth of over $1M. It’s extremely rare and demoralizing for the vast majority of people not in those situations lol.
28 years old. NW is ~440k, about half of that in real estate. Single
29 y/o at $250k
Noticing most of these titles are in the consulting/banking sector which will have much higher pay than the average Canadian. The fact that anybody is even in fishbowl mentioning their salary likely means they are above the median Canadian salary.
Moral of the story don’t feel bad about your lower net worth or lower salary. Not everyone is a consultant or banker making over $100,000 before age 30.
Well investment bankers for sure clear $100k yeah. But even non-IB can clear it as well if you’re not a bank teller and work in the corporate office.
Can confirm - working in finance at a smaller shop and making ~120k. Not investment banking with 3 YOE
Ah gotcha - very nice though!
~ 300k, real estate + savings
70K, 25 yrs
Banker, do you mean IB ?
I am hoping IB makes more than 150K
Age 35. NW $1.5M including house (almost paid off). Started from the bottom (immigrant).
