Anyone go to the Philly EY office regularly? I just moved to Philly this summer from DC so my gf can go to grad school. I’m in GPS so still tagged to my previous engagements and working with the same folks. There would be no reason for me to go to the EY office here other than networking so for that reason was wondering what the office is like and if there’s typically a lot of people there. EY

Rule of thumb is < 33% of salary.
I prefer <33% of after-tax salary.
Let’s just assume you contribute 6% to 401k.
Assuming 25% tax rate (philly wage tax plus federal) 84.6k x .75 = $63k. Take a third of $63k, and you have about $21k for annual rent. So $1,750 would be comfortable/affordable for you. I reckon you could find a nice one bedroom for that amount (assuming $1400-1500 + utilities)
I’m planning on maxing out 401k and IRA my first year too. Any advice/regrets on that?
