Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.

I have an interview for a technical writer position in the chemistry field. Coming from a lab based chemistry role I'm use to getting technical questions about my lab experience. With this role I'm interviewing for being office based, I'm not sure what questions they may ask. What interview questions can I expect for a technical writing position?

At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

In the last PDM town hall, they said they were going to lower utilization targets for those that work on projects with capped hours. For those people, have you seen your utilization target lowered? I haven’t seen shit change for me.

Few tips to improve your visual design skills

- Learn Typography: Typography is essential because 60-70% of user interfaces are about written content displayed in a meaningful way.

- Learn Layout and Composition: You don’t need to be pixel perfect, but if you place labels 10px above inputs, you must do that consistently across your whole design.

- Learn Color: Color doesn't need to be complex. Understand how colors interact with each other and learn how color can set moods.

Any tips on staying motivated? I feel like my work is getting so predictable and boring and it isn't challenging my creative side. I find myself struggling to stay motivated throughout the day, does anyone else feel this way? How do you push through these feelings?
