Paying your own insurance and vacation time isn't so expensive that I'd take a salaried job at almost half the pay...

Ive been taking a free Coursera course - is it worth upgrading to the $50/m subscription to earn the certificate of completion? Or perhaps I should be focusing my efforts elsewhere? This particular course is Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals
