It sounds like you should invest in that client relationship, leave your current gig, and stay in touch until whatever period of time in your agreement the non-compete clause ends.
What the Strat 1 said, but also, why do they have such a problem with the larger agency team? I’d raise that with your leadership (assuming you haven’t already)—I get the clients don’t want frameworks and processes, but it’s a little odd to me that they’re going straight to you, and quite honestly you likely aren’t paid enough to manage that much of the relationship.
Sounds like you need a more experienced Account Manager/team. A skilled account team member would make the client confident enough to reach out to them rather than specific team members. Does your agency have an established account team?
