Neither, just take certs
Master’s are where name power matters. I wouldn’t spend grad school money on either in this economy if you’re in IT. The right certs could hold equal weight and fraction of the price
My work is paying for masters
Try Georgia institute of technology it’s tough course but it’s worth it, you can do online
I can’t do online masters, only in person. I have a learning disability
I think the point people are making here is that you are doing this backwards. Have you seen a single job posting asking for a masters from DePaul? Nope! Why would we spend all that time to get something no one asked for? So go about this the other way. Find 20 examples of your dream job. Start a word document. Job 1 requirements, job 2 requirements. Then ask ChatGPT to build you a training plan with short term and long term goals, prioritized by most in demand requirements. Attach word document to prompt. Rather than guessing at demand, we’re meeting demand. I promise Illinois Institute of Technology will not be in that list. CEH cert might be, CISSP might be, a Bachelors of something is probably in the list.
If your goal is to get a degree then any of those will be equal. If your goal is to get a better job make the training program. I have at least 3 friends with Cyber Degrees and they can’t get a job.
