Lol, what service line, what role, etc.
~$1K, sucked after taxes after all of that hard work for a busy season first year in tax 😭
Signing bonus was ~5K for signing to join on to my initial firm
Usually first years don’t get a bonus
STA1, the bonus is directly tied to your non-client work for the firm. Most first years do exactly 0 non-client work…
If you don’t do the work that the bonus is based on, makes sense it would be minimal. The work you do on your clients is compensated through your base salary, and year-end merit increases.
Realistically, $0 at most firms.
I’m so sorry RSM 1 😢
You deserve that bonus!
At KPMG our comp model ties VC (bonus) to “contributions” which is K-speak for non-client internal work that makes an impact. Stuff like planning panels for your group, organizing DEI events, taking a leadership role in recruiting, helping to organize group social events, etc.
Ranges are published and they tend to stick to them. As a top contributing A2 in my promo year last year I got 7%. This matched published top of bonus range for associates. Remember — your VC is tied to the level you were in the prior year, not when you receive it.
Ranges change depending on level and line of service but for seniors 3-7% is around the middle 2/3 in all three service lines for what I recall. 10-11% is the max I think for seniors.
What role?
My first year was this past fall and first years in my group got no bonus.
Take home isn’t that much, probably a little more than a thousand take home for my first bonus
Curious what an experienced hire S2 bonus would look like salary is 95k. Is 5% bonus to much?
K2– ranges are published. Same announcement thar published mid-year raises linked to the ranges. Not tax, so forget their specifics, but 5% was solidly in the middle 66% bar.
$250 for 7 months of doing nothing😂
My first year bonus, not being there a full year was $1500 gross, but varies on how long you’ve been with the firm.
