At my company, 8-10% for promotion is more likely. I’ve only seen 20% by switching companies.

Reality: a bit over 3%

3% would be more typical for a merit increase versus promotion. Don’t hesitate to attempt to negotiate more if they lowball you.

But often 12% with stock/bonus goals
Depends on the level. As comp increases, the % increase decreases and other things may come into play like bigger bonus, shares, etc.
