“The [agency name] way”. I hear it everywhere, and it never means anything except to the person saying it. I don’t care.
The biggest one is unlimited vacation time. Sounds good, doesn’t it? But actually, it means you don’t accrue vacation days throughout the year. So that if you are laid off or quit, you don’t get paid for unused vacation days. And that’s very very important. If you see that, and they really want you, try asking for specific vacation days that you earn overtime Versus this.
“We want leaders who’ll roll up their sleeves” => Your only upward movement will be to a role where you’re doing the work AND managing people and clients.

Agree but disagree about unlimited PTO. Yes it sucks you don’t get paid out if you leave but if you’re able to actually take time off, it’s amazing. Between actual vacation and random personal or slow days, I probably took a total of 6 weeks last year. Not including sick days. Personally, I think it’s worth it be able to take an impromptu vacation whenever vs having to plan or save your time throughout the year.
