I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

Seriously - if the 3 is right- 5.4% in a non-promotion year is not too unfair. What did you expect?
Don't change firms because of money. If you're happy and learning a lot where you are, stay. A 5.4% raise is not something to be upset about or to change jobs over. Just because you wanted $60k, doesn't mean that was realistic for your experience level or your market. Also, other firms can promise you more to start but they have salary ranges as well so you'll be at the high end for one year then end up with a lower raise the next year to settle it out. The grass isn't always greener.....
PwC1 you are so right; unrealistic expectations galore...
What was it?
LinkdIn is a good place to start. What market are you in?
My relationship partner told me that although my performance was good and I had several differentiators, it's difficult to be rated higher than a 3 as a first year
70k (including bonus) rated 2, first year turning second year, SF office, improve your performance and you will be there!
That's one of the reasons people skip firms either ways - I will refer you and get the bonus. Send me a text on 609-878-0840 and we can talk further.
Try going out in industry where you get 2% raises sometimes...you don't even know
Everyone gets rated a 3 there first year. The fact that your not at $60K yet concerns me though. What city?
1st year. 3 rated, 3k raise (5.4%)
PwC OP improve your ratings and receive better increases in the future. Also the year you'll promote to senior will be around 10% even with a 3 rating.
LA has a higher cost of living than boston. Also @pwcop. Think about how the NY office people in the same and bucket feel. They are probably only 2 or 3k more than you and probably pay a full paycheck to rent.
I had $60k starting in Audit in Chicago and the COL in Boston is more than Chicago. That's brutal.
What was it? And what level?
Thanks EY 1, I'll text you later on!
I'm in Boston, Deloitte 2
I was hoping to at least be at 60k - I'll only be making 2k more than first years, and my total comp will actually go down because I received the CPA bonus this year.
What does an experience staff yr 3 at PwC make ?
Boston, Deloitte 4.
