I would air on the side of caution and throw a blazer on. Might sound excessive but I still think it’s an interview and you should put your best foot forward. No harm in looking too professional.

Non-formal dress shirt, blazer, no tie. But it depends on the job. I’m sure John Deer and Harley Davidson would have different expectations than a typical NYC professional services firm.
