Did 3 panel interviews at Discover Financial Services for the Sales Account Executive role and felt the TC package was too low. Salary at $70K with annual bonuses at 25% with. $5K one-time sign on bonus. I made the case that my experience and education was far more than even the preferred criteria on the job description, and over 3x of the minimum qualifications. The recruiter is now thinking of two other roles for me:
Lead, Program Marketing
Lead Field Solutions Representative
Any feedback?
Hi. Any idea about the salary at Chanel ?
There are many sales job with a base salary. Too many factors here though to fully answer your question. What industry?

I do SaaS. Salary plus commision

Lots of industries and positions!
But the tech industry has great opportunities.
Research the BDR/SDR positions and see if that is something that you’re open to.
Basics of the position are:
-Prospecting through cold calling, emails, and LinkedIn posts
-Handling incoming leads (dependent on how the company is structured)
-Spreading the value of what that company does with cold calls and etc (it’s a skill, so continue to further your knowledge on how to approach objections and learn different openers to find the best one that suits you best)
Typically in the tech industry in this role is 45k-55k (base salary) + 20k-30k (comm).
Then if you exceed your monthly quota, usually there are accelerators that come in with those commission structure.
Yes, I have a six figure, plus five figure bonus, salaried sales job in the commercial furniture industry. My accounts are architecture and design firms, and their clients.
This is too vague. Most sales jobs have a base salary which is enough to live on but much less than you actually want to make as a salesperson. Then you get bonus or commission on top of that (your "variable compensation") to get to where you want to be.
Are you looking for a sales job with no variable at all? Or just a job that pays a base no matter what and has a variable component? The latter are all over the place. The former are very hard to find (especially at high comp levels).
Not very common. Maybe more in the Customer Success realm or Sales Operations.
