For the sake of sharing, I pay $150 bimonthly for $4500 deductible. Was recently made aware that apparently there are companies out there like DO1. DO1, is this normal in your area? I’m in the silicon slopes area of Utah and I’m paying high for my area. Literally cannot fathom 300+ a paycheck, let alone 600. Especially because my employer pays 80% of my premium so that puts my entire plan premium at around $600.
$0 and employee choice between Blue Shield HDHP, Blue Shield PPO, and Blue Shield EPO
Premium (UHC) about $85 each paycheck. Medical: $30 office visit /$60 specialist/urgent care Dental: cleaning is free and most Ortho 80% paid Vision: pretty basic (eye exam and discount on lenses)
I'm 46 and have a few specialists I have to go to, so I feel like this is the best for me. I also am single/no dependents
There is a basic plan that is probably 1/3 or so less than that... And a high deductible plan at no cost.
It’s super dependent on what tier of coverage you have (employee only, family, etc.). It’s becoming more common for organizations to cover the entire cost of employee only coverage with employees paying the difference in cost for other tiers of coverage.
For example, I have EO coverage and pay $0 a month for the basic $5000 HDHP plan.
$630 each paycheck. Family plan. CYD $2,000, max out of pocket $5,500. This is medical only.
