I don’t think I’m qualified for a lot of jobs. I don’t know basic functions. How does one “fake it til you make it” in industry and not get fired?

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.
