Do partners buy into the firm? What is the incentive to promote principals to partners?

Im working in software currently but want to make a shift into cyber security, I am burnt out on the technical aspect of my current position and would like to make a switch into a cyber position where I play the role of an advisor for different teams, is this possible? what role should I be looking for and what path should I take?

Dear all, I want a suggestion currently working for TCS with 5 CTC in a support project with some opportunities on Devops tools. I am having an offer from a company for an senior software support profile with 15 fixed+1. My future aspirations are Devops. I have also received a counter from TCS for 12 CTC. Should I join on senior support role and then switch for Devops after preparation or should I stay back in TCS for some time and switch after preparation? In TCS my designation is system engi.

What certifications are good for technical project manager? I was thinking to start with PSM and PSPO and then move to ITIL, ITSM. Not sure about this though. Not planning to do PMP as I think it’s more waterfall focused. Was also thinking about AWS. Any other certifications recommended?

I’m currently at a studio that has been good to me. They took a chance and allowed me to change career paths. They gave me numerous opportunities that lead me to now, being the head of a department. However, I just got an offer to join a different company’s medical affairs team, with >400k TC. Is the career trajectory of commercial worth making less money?
