Lol ok bro
Tons of staff aug work. A lot of folks I know left booz for IBM or Accenture
WLB generally very good. Salaries at the Associate level can vary widely from like $75k to $150k depending on market, job role, clearance, etc. We tend to pay technical staff competitively, and non-technical staff less so.
How are you doing the job? True strategy or staff aug? Culture? Etc.
I left Booz about 8 months ago. They generally pay lower than rivals. I agree that it’s mostly staff aug. They just want butts in seats tbh. Unless it’s a big pay raise and you plan to exit to somewhere else after a year, don’t go there. You certainly won’t gain any meanful skills.
Really depends on which group and team you’re with. Truly sorry that you weren’t able to gain any meaningful skills. The firm can do a better job of letting individuals work with different clients and moreover the work they do.
What’s your work background?
Public and private. consulting, operations, strategy. Varied to say the least.
For more context: goal is to eventually do commercial consulting. Good exit opportunities (compared to Guidehouse)?
My concern is that my project now is basically staff aug and I've learned nothing since joining. The merger is so slow that I'll never last long enough for the transition. Spoke to a partner a while back who mentioned the federal commerical staff split would remain.
I currently work at the firm and do non-tech, non-staff aug consulting. So, it’s definitely there
