I was really close to taking an offer two years ago. I fudged my numbers up a bit, but nobody asked. It was halfway through the personnel year, so really I just trended my numbers forward to reflect my built up equity. I doubt anyone would ask for a pay stub - I'd almost reflexively decline the role if they were to treat me that child-like. You're either worth what you're asking or you're not, so it shouldn't matter
@OP: as has been mentioned in a couple threads over the last 2 days, the 3 pieces of info your HR department can and will give out to your new company if asked are your dates of employment, salary, and title at separation. Don't volunteer your salary to companies and offer a desired range if they insist but if you absolutely have to put it down somewhere don't lie, offers get rescinded that way
Standard is around 20% bump based on everything I've heard. Haven't heard much on signing bonus
20% is not bad. My sal is crawling and I can't take it anymore. Do you know if people fake their sal to get an increase or you have to actually submit your pay stubs when you are close to the offer?
Scroll down a bit I posted on this topic earlier today - be careful
KPMG - careful about what?
I thought salaries are never disclosed to competitors by HR. I will keep that in mind.
So 310 to 372? Hmmm. Probably not worth the hassle.
When I ragequit my industry job 5 years ago I made sure to find out exactly what my previous company could and couldn't say about me. Dates, title, salary - yes. Why I left/on good terms/performance ratings - no. It may depend by state but that's my experience
D2 - are you a managing director making 310?
Glad I didn't accept!
Be careful about fudging salary
Last time I jumped firms I told that my total compensation not just base. They didn't check.
