The typical first year international tax manager salary in SoCal is lay-ed off.

~100, depending on law degree or bump from switching firms

I would say, look at salaries in non COVID years (105-110) then add a 20% premium. That’s where you should be at

It depends on if you are JD or CPA. The salaries people mentioned above seems low, not in SoCal but other LCOL that is what seniors make. I would say it has to be 130K.

In LA. Me and all my S3 friends make 90-95 (after not getting raises this year). A shit raise to manager this year would put us all around 100

I’m a cpa with masters, currently a 3rd year senior at 88k. Trying to gauge if it’s worth making a jump to another job.

Yeah I’m looking at an offer in accounting around that. Really want to leave my team and try something outside of tax. I’m thinking with COVID it’s probably a pretty decent offer but trying to get some second opinions

Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.
