Or you can just go to the Centurion or airline lounge and not worry about the USO being at capacity for non AD folks

funny

worst was when 1 let me thru and another stickler then kicked me out after I sat down for a while

The USO is for AD and reserves (On Orders) ONLY. They are NOT a veteran organization!! Retirees are allowed in on a case-case-basis based on space availability but can be asked to leave if space is needed for AD members. Retirees are allowed because there is an MOU between the USO and service organizations and retire pay comes out of the annual service organization budget.

like

was nice for reservists/NG, no proof of orders needed at least IME lol

I confused on your post. I haven’t been on AD in several years. They do not have to service you if they’re full of AD/reserves. But I’ve also never been denied any service and entry all across the nation (consulting travel) to include my family.

ah I used my VA card, the one meant for benefits, doesn’t show rank. Wonder what he used lol. My CAC got confiscated when I got out for some reason but others’ didn’t.

One for One

keep up the good work my guy

Additional Posts in Veteran Bowl

I got a job offer at GSA in Washington DC for their pathway program from GS9-GS12. I currently work in a private company and wanted to switch to federal government. The reason I wanted to switch is to get good person for my family because I'm still in the Reserve and would be able to buy time for my retirement. My wife doesn't why I'm leaving the private company. I bought my house in Iowa and I live my family. Just need advice. Thanks
