It is well understood that text, brand logos, and images on clothing and personal accessories is a class marker.
Lower and middle class people love it.
Upper class people have a powerful allergy.
I have always actively avoided wearing any logos on my clothes. If a company wants to pay me to wear it, that would be a different story. But I just never saw the point of wearing that stuff. It's actually kind of a pain finding stuff that's not adorned that way, so I do have things like a North Face jacket. The quality of the jacket makes up for having the portrayal of Half Dome on it. But I wouldn't wear one of their t-shirts with the huge Half Dome image.
I cant stand logomania and the trend of logos on everything. I think its a cry for status for those who wear tons of logos, and its a lame cash grab by brands. Style over brand status for me please!
Pro
Mostly non branded or quietly branded
Non branded. If I must have a brand it's small and unobtrusive. I usually remove the stitches sooner or later.
For work I cannot wear logos unless its small or unless its the brand i am representing. Personally i dont do big logos but i have some logo things i will buy on occasion.
Pro
I think visible logos are tacky and a try hard move.
