I know this is somewhat imprecise, but could be anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000.

A good salary range for a Principal UX Designer with 15+ years of experience in NYC would be $150,000-$200,000.

How to navigate this: The hiring process has been unusually fast to a point that I feel overwhelmed. I told recruiter I need 1-2 weeks to wrap up other interviews and I need time to think on verbal offer and provided my preferred salary, but she generated written offer anyway with the initial offer. I want to renegotiate the salary. Another thing is, the other interview process was delayed to be 3-4 weeks, not 1-2 weeks. How long should I wait before responding to an offer and how do I respond?

Going to get interviewed next week at Deloitte USI. Currently working as Salesforce Developer with 3.5 Years of exp. Please suggest what would be the expected CTC that they can offer? Current CTC - 11.

Hi! Disclaimer: not an excel genius…

I’m trying to use the lookup function to grab data from a worksheet within the same workbook. I want the column to reference the cost code in one worksheet, find the cost code in the other and display the billed to date associated with it. The problem is that it repeats an amount randomly. There will be multiples then a blank cell in one that I know has a cost associated with it.
Formula=LOOKUP(D3,!Sheet!$D:$D,!Sheet!$H:$H)

I've heard a couple of things about how the partner pension amount @ PwC is determined, both similar in approach.

Both calculations I have heard of result in an annuity paid until death, at which point a surviving spouse (if any) receives the annuity.

The first calculation I have heard is that you get 80% of your highest earning year as a partner (e.g. If your best year was $1M, you'd get $800k as an annuity).

The second calculation I have heard is that they look at your three highest earning years as a partner, and take the second highest and you get 100% of that. (e.g if your three highest earning years were $1M, $800k, and $1.2M, you'd receive $1M as an annuity).

Is ANY of this true, or just all rumor? Any PwC partners that can chime in and explain the pension plan fact for fact? Perhaps with sample numbers?

I heard that when Netflix hires outside counsel, it asks a series of questions to determine how credit is given at the firm selected. The goal is to ensure that the “old white hairs” at the top are not receiving/taking credit from the lawyers really doing and managing the lion’s share of the work. Some level of research shows that the real working lawyers tend to be predominantly women/POC who are essentially punished by old school origination systems. Thoughts?

A recruiter recently asked me for a salary range and I said 100-125K. The recruiter returned and said we could only do 90-100, but there’s no guarantee they can do 100. I’m okay with taking a lower salary, but the range was based on what I saw on levels.fyi, glassdoor and fishbowl. The average salary for this role is 114K. I decided to move forward with the interview process, but now I’m worried that I may have asked for too much initially. Do you think I dropped the ball here?

Hi everyone! I need your help here. A quick background:

Junior copywriter based in Toronto here. Came to Canada about a year ago and did an internship at Klick Health.

Once it ended in late August, they didn't take on ANY intern full time. Been job searching for the past 3 months. Would really appreciate any leads/insight on some entry level gig or internship that might be available in this city. I know it's year end and it's hard, but I am still hopeful as I have seen people still get hired.

On Wed they sent me all benefits info. Thursday on the call I asked if we could either increase moving stipend or get closer to my desired salary. They said no, and I asked them to send over written offer and I would let them know by Fri. They then email they are no longer offering me the position and repost it the next day:
