When a party campaigns on drastic income tax cuts without a matching plan to cut government spending, it is running a fraud operation, not a reform agenda. The money will still be taken — through inflation, debt, penalties, hidden fees, selective enforcement, or future tax increases. This is a replay of "Affordable Care Act".

Math does not vanish, no matter how desperately a con man dresses up to impress.

True, Trumplicans' Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and One Big Beautiful Bill were big frauds.

Booker's proposal on the other hand does propose new taxes and closing loopholes to offset the new tax cuts. It is designed to be revenue neutral.

Nice try tho.

It sounds to me like you're talking about Trump's latest bill.

I read OP's text and agreed 100%. Then I saw the headline and LOL'd.

OP, is this god-level satire? Republicans just added trillions to the national debt through tax cuts while simultaneously increasing spending. And you're pontificating about a Democrat proposal?

Lol, sir. Lmao. 👏

I am for no taxes on couples making up to $75k as long as those making $10B+ are taxed at 5%. There are 989 billionaires in the US. I don’t know how many have more than $10B, but even if only 10% imagine the taxes that would bring in. I mean a person with $1B who spends $200k a year would take more than 5,000 yrs to spend it. That’s without any investment, just basic division.

Those with pricing power can pass tax costs on to consumers. They are the "nominal taxpayers", they are often tax collectors, but not always the real taxpayers; the real taxpayers are ALWAYS, the individuals, in the forms of salary and hiring decisions they receive - when their employers must save cash or liquidating assets to pay taxes. People who are paying the higher price or receive less bonuses, are the "real taxpayers".

The same is true of tariffs. After the Supreme Court ruling, global corporations may sue for refunds, but consumers who already paid more have no refund claim.

Most U.S. voters still prefer visible, symbolic tax promises. That is understandable. It feels good to think the rich are “paying more,” even when the burden is ultimately shifted elsewhere. Ever heard fishbowl people complaining about being "underpaid"?

Cory Booker took $5.8 million in AIPAC money.

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?
