When interviewing do you prefer good benefits or a high salary? Lately, I'd prefer benefits over pay. What do you see as a trend today?

100% pay, benefits are rarely better than getting cash.

Go get that money bag. Nothing wrong with taking money. You cant go wrong with taking more money, I dont think anyone will turn down more money.

Honestly, I used to chase salary. Now? I'd pick benefits in a heartbeat—healthcare, parental leave, and flexibility end up mattering way more in the day-to-day. That said, I've noticed early-career folks still lean toward pay, while later-stage folks start caring more about quality of life.

Haha you and I are in the boat. In my youth I always took higher salary, even if it means more work. Now that I am financially secure benefits matter more, but the kind of work seem to matter the most also.

Money money money.

PARTNERS: two questions —1. If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. If you send an associate a random e-mail on a weekend like “Can you pull X and send to Y”, would you get annoyed if they responded saying they weren’t by a comp or would you consider it reasonable that they wouldn’t be by a comp on a weekend?

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Hello recruiters, happy Monday!

I want to know why recruiters ask me in an interview if I am looking at other opportunities, or if I am interviewing at other companies. If I say yes they will ask at what stage I am.

I just want to know the reason behind it and if there is a right answer to this question!
