Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

I would say you're best bet is to gauge the employer and give them a good balance of both. I think you have to learn how to be comfortable in your own skin and don't try to be someone you're not. That would help you know if you're a good culture fit or not as well.
I think it depends heavily on the firm and the role, but in most cases it’s a combination of both. Finance specifically is known for a demanding schedule - but it truly is much easier to deal with long hours/fire drills when you’re in the trenches with people whose company you genuinely enjoy. So yes personality is important but just because you’re quiet does not mean you won’t get a job.
I think you should give yourself more credit! If your technical capabilities are superior to others, and you can be valuable immediately that goes a long way. Additionally, it takes time for people to warm up to others and get comfortable with teammates. Don’t sweat it!
Honestly, I think I get hired based on my personality as I am very bubbly and I normally nail interviews. But I really think it depends on the role and the company and what they are looking for. You can def ride your accomplishments but if you are feeling like you don't interview well, I would do some mock interviews and practice until you get better.
I say passion about what you are talking about. People know the right things to say- showcase who you are, bring your specific examples of common themes- working in a team, challenge, independence, strengths, weakness - and when telling them show you care about things you’re doing. I’ve interviewed many people and the credentials on paper are great- but someone that is able to talk, care about what they are doing, excited to learn and do things- those are who get hired
It's good that your record is attractive but remember that it's best carried by a pleasing personality. Your CV can speak for your performance but the hiring company also have to know if you'd be able to work well with them.
I'd be looking firsthand at experience since I'll need people for their function. As to working well, it'll be my (the company's) duty to make sure I can integrate hires and optimize the work environment.
