When it rains do you put your indoor plants outside? I have never done this and was wondering if this is common? I saw this in a video today and didn't know it was thing.

Rainfall does a better job with the above ground portion of the plant than household watering and misting. Plus, outdoor air is usually better than recirculated indoor air.

Wait am I supposed to be misting my plants?

I should add that I have a rain barrel and in colder weather I just collect rain water and bring it inside to water my plants. They LOVE it. I have some that really hate tap water (like my spider plants and prayer plants).

I have considered this before but have been lazy about it. I have been using filtered water for my plants like 60% of the time because sometimes our tap water smells like chlorine 😢

I have, yes. They love it. The only risk is leaving them outside for too long and they might get pests, but that’s never happened to me

I will give it a try next time lol

Really odd, the bottom leaf on my fiddle turned yellow REALLY fast, most of the rest of the leaves seem fine. It’s right in an east facing window with maybe 1-2 hours of direct sun per day the. Tons of ambient lighting the rest of the day. Pls help!

Hello folks, I’m after some advice please. I recently bought a couple of indoor plants and added to the cart what I think is a very expensive bottle of natural mist to use on the leaves. All organic, glass bottle etc. supposed to use it 2-3 times per week but 2 weeks in I’m down to half a bottle and it was £15 (approx $20). I understand that I need to nurture the plants but it strikes me as a rather expensive mist. Is there anything you’d recommend I can use instead? Thanks.

What house plants are NOT toxic to cats? I swear every time I go to buy a new plant and look it up it says “toxic to pets”. I have a dumb cane which I know is toxic but didn’t realize when I bought it so now I just keep it in the laundry room away from my cat when I’m at work but that means no daytime sunlight. Would like suggestions on which plants I can buy that are safe to leave alone with my cat 😸
