Left for industry. Was a Senior analyst at 90k left for manager in industry for 135.
Cap one bus mngr is around $130-$145. Sr bus manger is north of $150. Interviewed for bus manger a while back
Looked to move to Cap One this summer as a C2. Sr Manager role, base was lateral but signing bonus was over $30k plus a comparable annual bonus. Don't take a pay cut to go to industry
Haha only got easier, industry is way easier
But given that I’m a manager, it’s obviously a little more delegating and making sure things get done. But def not the same pressure as consulting
Yeah base, no signing bonus sadly. But other companies are better about that stuff, jus have to ask for it. If you’re an experienced manager, you can usually get 150ish.
Yeah I’d love to work for CapOne. The recruiter talked me down to 140, I actually asked for 150 (knowing what I know now, that’s too high for someone with no mgmt experience) but the hiring manager offered 130, I asked them to meet me in the middle at 135.
M1 how many years of experience did you have coming into the interview process ?
Bcg1, what’s the salary for SM at CapOne?
It was 150 for the strategy team, I think there is some variance between groups
Which firm now
What city?
Currently work at D from northern VA
M1 how did your workload change between roles if at all?
Haha can’t wait to get out! Is that 135K base salary? Did you pull in any signing bonus?
Thanks for your help!
Which company are you moving to?
M1 which company
Industry is way better
DD1 I’m considering moving to Capital One
M1 did you have to negotiate up to 135? If so, where did the offer start at?
