When recording time, do you do actual time worked or 8/9 hrs each day all across the week? I do actuals but my project team isn’t happy about it

I spoke to an experienced hire recruiter today and he said the company is moving to a hybrid model to include more in-person time between clients and staff. How often are you traveling to client sites and the office? is it as much as audit 2-3 weeks living in a hotel or sitting in the client's office? or maybe once a month? or are you working mostly remote? So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds.
