When renewing your passport, shouldn’t you receive your old one back with a hole punched? I have an existing visa that I will need from my expired passport but I only received my new passport in the mail

It would come separately.

You get your old one back a month or so after the new one (I just renewed).

like

Does this mean you have to travel with both passports (expired passport with active visa and new passport?)

I’m curious myself since mine is expiring

Yes this is generally how it works.

I would double check the visa would still be valid. In most cases, yes

Planning a trip to Rome and Naples with day trips to Tivoli and Pompeii. Is 1 week enough? I feel like reading through 3/4 day Rome and 2 day Naples itineraries, the trip seems rushed. I have unlimited PTO but my SO is limited in time (but luckily he can work extra hrs and then use less PTO). I would say max we could do is 1.5 weeks but adding on 3-5 more days seems almost too much? Thoughts? For reference, I did Venice-Florence-Rome in a week and it seemed okay but it also wasn’t as planned out

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
