When work gets frustrating, I hit the gym to reset. It’s my go to for stress relief. It was particularly hard getting up this morning for work after the holidays. How do you blow off steam after a long week?

I go for a lot of walks and they help me handle stress. Years ago I liked to walk to bookstores and lose myself in some browsing. Where I'm living now that's not possible, but I'll take a long walk when I need to get away from a stressful situation. I'll listen to audiobooks or music and I can just take my mind somewhere else.

How does a consultant or associate director/above in industry manage their properties if they are always in meetings ~7-8 hours per day? Eg does one call contractors after work hours? Does one hire an individual property manager to take care of a few properties? Does one hire a property management firm?

I imagine one can still self manage as long as you have initially found the go-to people for your maintenance/fixes (eg plumber, electrician), then can quickly text them for appointments

At my uncles wedding in Madrid I remember lying down on the grass in the courtyard after their first dance and crying, my Dad came and saw me, laid down in his suit beside me and asked what was wrong.

“I know my boyfriend wouldn’t dance with me like that at our wedding”

And we just lay there as I cried, and then got up. Had a drink.

Said boyfriend left years ago, and now I have a wonderful man who just asked me what type of dance lessons I want for our wedding next year.

Don’t give up.

What are some of the best consulting firms for digital strategy roles? Looking for a change and was wondering which of the T1/T2 firms have digital practices in Canada. I have applied to ATK and McK. Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall. Doubting my decision to come to industry. Is this the norm? Feels really low as historically variable has been a big enough component for me to pay down loans/invest.

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money
