currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? I want the title and the money owed which may be about $15000- 20000.

I got selected in Infosys and offer was about to get release today but at last minute suddenly today infy HR told I was interviewed 5 months 20 days before in infosys so they cannot proceed now as 6 months cool off period. My current salary is under market average for my position but based off my coworkers’ negative experiences with asking for raises/promotions, I’m not really sure how to go about starting the conversation with my manager. I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is.
