Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

I absolutely look up values and I bring it up in interviews too. When it comes to the inevitable time when they ask me if I have any questions, I will mention a specific value they say they display and ask what kind approach they take to show that in a tangible way. For example, D&I is important to me, the company I now work for had employee resource groups. I asked how those groups are initiating change for a more inclusive work culture and if there were any active recruitment efforts for groups that are under represented.
As for how I got my foot in the door, I worked my way up. I started in data entry but volunteered to do some tasks that were generally reserved for the AA. When an AA position opened up, I expressed interest and was a logical choice having some experience in some of those duties at that point. They were also familiar with my work ethic and willing to take that chance on me.
