When you are applying to role and then trying to network/follow up, are you reaching out to recruiters at the company, or hiring managers you think are aligned to the role? Or picking a few from both categories? I know there is no one networking strategy that works. Just wondering if you have more success actually getting interview by trying to get your application/get noticed in font of recruiters or via employees with hiring authority???

I love what I do and I have an offer to stay in International Development and be a manager with 86k, focusing on my technical area + lots of travel. Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.

Wife found out today that the Schedule A fed position she was hired into (and has been doing for year) was misappropriated to her because she didn’t meet the certs on USA Jobs and her permanent position is now a temporary one that will end in 10 months…..I’m flabbergasted and disgusted by the hiring agency, any know of resources (legal or otherwise) for fed employees in the weird situation?

They reduced the therapy questions on the secret clearance form so that you don't have to disclose therapy except in specific circumstances. Is it still on the TS form?
