How is the project work in Telstra in Wipro Bangalore.

Are there analytics consulting firms still hiring that work on longer term projects (i.e. 3-6 months)? I'm working in deal analytics and while I actually like consulting, I'm tired of constantly working on diligence projects, having 0 WLB, or being able to think deeply about problems my client has. I don't mind traveling, but would appreciate a firm that has some flexibility on where my home base is.

Did anyone else fee completely useless in their first few months as a consultant after moving from industry? Feels like I’m learning a lot, but working with client stakeholders has been rough.

In Cognizant was in a support project and no more new scope of learning with package 8.4 LPA; Received TCS offer of 12.1 LPA and accepted it. After resignation now Cognizant is saying that they will match the package and an assurance of onsite in 2022 (may or may not be true); what will be correct action? In terms of job security, WLB?

How is persistent systems Cisco client work environment? I am planning to join Persistent systems. Please help me about learning experience, wlb and work culture inside Cisco client project. I don't see sick leave policy in Persistent offer. Do they provide any kind of emergency leave/sick leave?

Anyone asked to work at the client site for busy season?

What would compel you to accept a new offer after just 3-4 months at a workplace? Also, what kind of notice would you give if you do decide to accept it? Assuming you have nothing against it and just got persuaded by a promising and exciting new project/opportunity.

I did an emergency project for my company last year. I spent a month working 16-18 hours a day to help get a product out. During this year's bonus/raise cycle we were told there were no merit increases, however I got a hefty retention bonus. I have heard rumblings of another emergency project and don't want to do it unless I get compensated up front somehow for it. What leverage do I have, and what is reasonable to ask for?

My client asked me to come full time. They is ok to give me position in the Bay Area office. He offered me a Project Manager role or Principle Software Engineer role if I want to stay technical. Cont.

When I get deliveries, I always ask the delivery person to “just scribble” instead of a signature as it’s not good for either of us to be touching their screen. I then ask “ha how did you know what my signature looks like?” Always puts a smile on their face 🤣

There’s nothing like waking up to a call on August 1 from my district coordinator telling me that they want to move me from my middle school resource room SpEd position (which I love) to K-5 Setting 3 SpEd position. I told her all the reasons that won’t work for me and even gave her another idea that would require a non-licensed teacher to be moved so I could take her place at the hs. So, I’ll be spending my Monday applying for a new job in another district. How’s your Monday going so far? 😭😔

Any tips for transitioning into a new firm? I was with my previous firm for 5 years. Came to a new firm a couple weeks ago, and I’m taking over around 25-30 cases, all in different stages of litigation. Any tips for someone who went through this successfully? It’s tough, between 2 different managing partners who are different but my cases are pretty 50/50 between them. My previous firm I had far fewer cases.

Litigation partners: how many years did it take for you to start and finish a case to completion with no one editing your work? (When can i third year kid finally learn to file something without crazy redlines on my motions from partner?)
