Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

1) I doubt the spread across firms is very big, the spread within a firm is likely far larger
2) to the extent there is a spread across firms, it likely goes by size: Deloitte slightly higher than PwC, both meaningfully higher than KPMG and EY
I would assume target comp per partner would be higher at the firms that make MD (or equivalent) a required step to partnership, given that average first year partner comp would be higher at those firms.
I doubt there is a way to find that out - but from hear say my bet will be on Deloitte

Say that I’m a dullard. Which of the B4 will enable me to be the highest paid dullard?
Any idea how comparable the mid tier firms are? GF / BDO / RSM
We recently did a market survey, and RSM pays around 90-95% of what you will get in B4 as partner. B4 is obviously higher, but having worked in both, the work in middle market is more enjoyable and less stressful.
