Starting a new job at Applied Materials on Monday as a Manufacturing Engineer III. I’ve been out of college for 5 years and all of my work experience till now has been in R&D for start ups and small businesses . So not only is this a new experience for me going into such a large company but also a industry (semiconductors). Does anybody has tips or advices on what I should expect as a new hire and how I can set myself up for success? Thanks!
Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

So basically you want to hit a boundary without even holding a bat.
Please Spend few months learning the technology and then think mate.
I think with a month or two's effort you can fill the gap.
Or we can say that I'm holding a bat but out of form 😜
Actually I am having FOMO that this booming market will soon go back to its usual.
Bro I failed in 10 interviews then I got my first offer and now I'm having more then 150% hike. So practice more attempt interviews where you don't want to go and hustle thorough.
Spring boot won't take you long if you are already familiar with spring, lex have some good course if you want.
All the best
GSLab, L&T, UBS.
Didn't prepared for a single thing yet ended up with offer from them.
UBS was simplest. Interviewers had no Idea how spring boot annotations works. They didn't even knew how to we can make custom sql execute in spring boot. But HRs are worse at UBS, they will make fake promieses and will forget to send offer letter as well as joining letter.
Good one 👍🏻
