Joined a big firm (Big4) not long a go and starting to feel like I got a good grip on my current work.

I've always been very technical, so I think that the only thing I am missing now is making sales. (I really wanna make partner)

Can any seasoned lawyer share tips and materials (i.e. books) which can help?

Would it be a good idea to join a Social Club where potential clients spend time? (gym/tennis/paddel/events)

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

When you’ve put in a lot of hard-work as a developer on a great project and received the best performance award but compensation has been same since Day 1…and have completed 2 years in the company. Furthermore no signs of compensation going up…Is it the best time to leave or stay? Additionally too many management changes have taken place that everything feels out of place.

"People just want it to work" is a thing clients have said about the product the company I work for makes. It's true. And it's all over. I usually think it's because Agile's method is what everyone thinks works but so much stuff across all tech areas seems to be released broken and then never fixed or fixed way too slowly. Anyone else feel this way? Has Agile worked for you and your clients?
