I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Well, Christmas has better marketing in that It’s everywhere always for 2 to 3 months but I agree Valentine’s Day has more uniformity in the pink white and red category and all the slogans are the same.
Christmas is bigger of a tradition, much more meaningful for most people. It’s not just a few ads for show; houses and buildings are decorated, community activities are organized, people plan their week around it. Experience-wise, Xmas is top.
When it comes to the “visual feel” of it, I think Xmas is more open. Valentines is pure pink and hearts, repetitive and boring. Rarely any brand has anything new to say on the occasion.
Interesting question. Both modern holidays have their roots in the 19th century, they existed before then but the trappings we know began in the Victorian era. I guess it depends on what's meant by "better." Valentine's Day is more focused, but Christmas is obviously the bigger holiday by far.
Valentine's Day is *only* branding. There isn't really much more to it. So I suppose it would get my vote. Christmas would be Christmas even if it never got another mention by advertisers.
Valentines day because everything is so cutesy and girly and I love it. However, I think Valentines Day is a made up Hallmark holiday and I don't too much care for it as a general rule. But I do love all the hearts and fun decorations that come out this time of year.
