Big 4 firm if the offer is from PwC.

funny

Only if you hate youre life

What are you actually doing at the investment company? Is it back office accounting?

Pick the one that will get you closer to your career end goal.

Go investment company.

Investment company. Can always jump to another investment company and get paid more in long run as if you were a senior exiting the big 4. If this was an accounting role in an investment company, then big 4

like

The role @ investment company is not accounting, but definitely more on the operation side (back office) with a bit of accounting.

I’d take it

So here is the dilemma, the investment company is where ppl would go after the big four. The money is more, but the hour isn’t necessarily better. I actually prefer PA because you get busy for four months and then you chill for quite a bit. Whereas the prestigious investment firm is more spread out. I am torn between the two because I had already accepted the offer, but the money is much more on the industry side. I have no big four experience.

“Get busy for four months and then you chill for quite a bit” false statement

Investment company. No brainer

Big 4, honestly not a fan of leaving public to go into industry staff/senior roles. I see a lot of people get stuck at those roles. Leave public to be the boss not the b**** 😎

Looking to lateral to another firm. I’m a 3rd year at a mid size firm. Any advice/insight on what a firm requires when applying/interviewing. I’m concerned about law school grades as I was around 3.2 gpa, but I have a ton of litigation experience running cases the last three years. Any insight appreciated.

I've been solitary all my life - no friends and no girlfriends and have been perfectly with the kind of boring lifestyle I live. For additional context, Indian born but raised since I was 3 in the US by traditional parents. I've recently been getting, for lack of a better term in English, "marriage interview" requests from the parents of others also raised in the US. Throwing Mr. Solitary into the fastest version of speed dating possible seems like a recipe for disaster. Any advice?

Is it normal for a big4 to take over two months in the interview process? Since end of January I've had five interviews w team members, including with the partner who leads the practice I'd be joining. Still no word. I've gotten nothing but positive feedback with the in-house recruiter I'm working with. Is this normal? Client base would be asset managers & PE firms.

In need of a gut check: I lateraled a year and a half ago to move to a location closer to my husband’s parents. I loved my old firm and was given good opportunities and was extremely cautious about lateraling, so I asked many questions during my interviews, including whether associates made their hours. I was assured they always did. Day 1 at the new job starts and it turns out I was hired with another associate for the same position. I can now go weeks at a time with just a few hours of work.
