I’ve been actively working on my negotiation skills lately, especially when it comes to contract renewals and scope creep with clients. It’s helped, but I still feel like there’s a gap when it comes to managing tricky situations without escalating tension. Some colleagues swear by emotional intelligence, while others say it’s all about time management and clear communication. What’s been the game-changer for you in your role? Are there any specific skills you’ve focused on that made a big difference in handling clients or internal teams?

Texas drivers…honest question. Why, why in tf do people just camp in the left lane? I’m talking doing maybe 5 mph over the limit in the left lane when people want to go faster and they can get over?? I can’t always see around and sometimes on hills I can see that one jackass is holding up a line of cars. What gives???

I got a promotion a year and 3 months ago, and got a pay raise 5 months ago. Could I still ask for a promotion to SAE if I have been supporting a team more as one? Promotions are hard to stab with.

I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.
