Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! Does anyone have experience with Ben Glass’s “Great Legal Marketing” programs? https://greatlegalmarketing.com
I ordered a free “starter kit” from his company and received a decent-sized box with some books and audio CD’s. Haven’t listened to the CD’s yet, but the books aren’t bad, with plenty of practical advice.
Now he’s running a promotion where you can get two months of his basic-level course for just $19.95 to cover the cost of shipping. It seems that Ben is one of the better-regarded legal marketing “gurus” out there.

Pick JPM - I have three friends who work at Toyota and the work culture is crap. And the pay isn’t that great either
Pay is pretty good at JPM so far, don’t think Toyota can match though. Thought work culture would be better but this response changes that^^
Isn’t JPM full RTO?
At JPM, most roles are still Hybrid. 3 in office, 2 WFH per week.

Toyota
Have friends working at Toyota at various level. Depending on the team work can be interesting (e.g. Toyota connect has lots of fun projects). But in general JPM pays better at the same level, more chill and faster promotion (compared to the Japanese work culture), better benefits (especially parent leaves, 401K, childcare related, donation related. Only thing better at Toyota is a car expense, you have an allowance to pay for your car loan - has to be a Toyota though). In terms of internal mobility both seems to be able to provide lots of opportunities. Toyota is slow in that process though, can take years. Happy to give more details if you have any specific question.
I think my answer is clear

U mean Toyota?
JPM. Worked there; great place and lots of opportunity to move around. Growth is slower above VP, but well paid and chill.
Had family at Toyota; cheap as hell, growth was okay, but pay never matched. And the imported Japanese business culture caused lots of problems; they’re trying to fix it, but definitely challenged.
Can maybe coast easier there; they like long term employees.
So depending on department / role, might not be worth it.

What would you be doing for them? What’s your background?
Data analytics
Like JPM doesn't have investments in that sector? How is that not worse?
Any reason you’re not including Capital One in this list?
Don’t have an offer with Capital One
I previously worked in data analytics up in Plano. What team/role would this be? I have a very low opinion of CCB D&A
