Most of the directors one dreams about working with because their reels are so good, got that way by absolutely ignoring both the agency and the brand and steamrolling past them in pursuit of prioritizing their reel.

DD 1 - completely agree with you on this. Honestly, fk collaboration. In most cases, a single minded mediocre idea will turn out better than a cesspool of cooks trying to make something great. I’ve seen work die from collaboration so many times.
