hold on, I came across a post a few days earlier where the person was confused because his manager made the edits in the deck without asking him to do so. Are you his manager by any chance?
I am secretly wishing this is true!
As someone from this younger generation, one of the reasons I've observed, is that a lot of people haven't really learnt to fail, growing up.
They've always had or achieved the things they aimed for, partly because their goals have been put in place by helicopter parents planning their life for them.
Sadly, taking criticism and learning to grow despite life's harshest obstacles is a skill they haven't mastered. Even I'm still learning to be better at it, in no small part thanks to Covid induced obstacles.
If you're interested in another perspective, there's a great video by Simon Sinek on the Millenial Generation you can look up.
Cheers!
Great to hear you being open to constructive feedback and learning. With this attitude you will go places!
Might be a one off case. Why is generalization necessary? And no one cries over a few edits, there is probably more to this that you aren't telling or that you probably don't know about.
