“Why do you want to work here?” is my least favorite interview question. Do you want the real answer (I need health insurance) or the polished lie (lifelong passion for mid-market M&A)? How do you answer that without sounding fake... or too honest?

I’m a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I’d like to put more in that jar. That’s where you come in.

Try a blend: “I’m looking for a firm where I can grow, and your X/Y approach stood out.” Still authentic, just filtered.

It tells me: I want to know that you're prepared for this interview and can come up with an interesting answer. I also want 2 more minutes to review your resume while you talk.

Give them that time, imo

It doesn’t need to be true it just needs to catch their attention. Pick something niche about the company

There has to be something other than the money. You didn't pick an area of law to practice out of a hat and you aren't applying to multiple areas of law. Think of it more as why do you want to work in this area of law.

EVERY DAY, I WANT YOU TO GIVE ME A LITTLE BIT OF YOUR MONEY. DO THIS, AND WILL WORK FOR YOU.

Everybody moves on for a few reasons, more money and/or better bennies, but no hiring manager wants to hear that so you have to give them the “I need more challenge BS”. Employers don’t care for honesty. It’s sad but everybody does. It’s a game.

Hi Everyone,
Is it only me or are you guys not getting enough calls from recruiters nowadays?
I mean it used to be a good rate during May/ early June but it has reduced drastically.
Any ideas? Is it due to economic slowdown? Or something else?

Hi all, I have about 7 years of professional experience but only one year as a Customer Success Manager. I work on mid market accounts currently. I love my job, but would prefer to support a more robust platform that will allow me to add more value for my customers.

I’d appreciate your thoughts on what compensation you might expect for a CSM transitioning to a new company with one year of experience.

To clarify, I don’t have an offer yet, I’m just looking to make a move.

Thank you!
