Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?
ZS Associates
I have a couple of questions for ZS fishes-
1. Is it possible to turn down a promotion at ZS? I'm currently happy with my responsibilities as a Decision Analytics Consultant and don't want any added responsibilities in the near future (next 5 years)
2. Is it possible to shape up a career path in the BC stream which doesn't involve business development? I don't want to get into working on SOWs and RFPs.
Please and thank you!

It means on call 24/7 and hired at will with no notice of “termination”. Welcome to indenture 2.0.
The bizarre thing is that so many of the people who voted for this will be the most impacted. Or when their unions lose all influence, medical insurance coverage plummets and excludes anything they consider "pre-existing", and the social security checks never come because that money's been funneled to campaign donors.
I think it's because teams often have different rules concerning hybrid schedules. I get it, it's annoying, but you can probably find out this information very easily in your screening call or first interview. It also means there may be room for negotiation with in-office days
I hate it when a job post says remote yet it becomes a hybrid later or deep in the description. False advertising!
I honestly think a lot of places are playing fast and loose with that in job postings just because they don't have a lot of confidence in how things will develop going forward. It seems like everyone is being herded back into the office. So an applicant has to be fairly cynical about whatever a job listing says, as a few months from now you could be sitting in a cubicle full time regardless.
Can confirm, looked at a few listings recently and they proudly advertise the hybrid schedule despite the impending commitment to 5 days in
if they are specific they can't lie about it later
You must be new to the corporate world.
It could also mean you get the “privilege” of coming into the office everyday, hoping there’s a desk available to you since you’re “hybrid” and don’t require a dedicated desk.
M-F, nights and weekends are up to you.
It could mean the possibility of working 5 days from the office, and working remotely on Saturday and Sunday?
Yes, was said in jest.
Either way it means "you have to live nearby and work in our anti-productivity pods", so it's really no different from what most companies were suffering 5 years ago.
I am baffled we used to live that way. I remember it.
I just apply and then ask the recruiter to clarify on the screening call. If it’s not a fit for me with their requirements than I drop out
Really? I haven’t had that experience mentioning my own disability but it wasn’t at MSFT.
Rising Star
Job postings don't define 'hybrid' schedules or positions because they don't have to. There is no legislative onus for a posting to contain anything except what is currently considered protected class questions. Pretty soon, those will be fair game as well. Fairness and propriety will be solely the domain of the companies posting the positions. In other words, none.
Truth
Hybrid means we want RTO but we know no one will apply.
I think majorly is to attaract applicants as most employers knows hyprid or remote set up is the current trends for most organazation. It could also be they dont have a budget to sustsain a big team in the office or they dont even have a permanent office and that draws a picture of instability.I would recommend a thorough research if such an offer comes in.
