Seattle people are weird, isolated, and hyper political.
The tech scene drew too many software developers, many of which are not social or culturally aligned to the American lifestyle.
Many many other factors, but those are the two main ones I see.

H1Bs don’t know how to party obvi lol
Probably because they all started coming here in droves and ruin whatever good things we had going on. It's a trend that's happened in most major cities, newcomers displace the locals and cost of living starts going up.
R u?
1.) Cost to live in Seattle outweighs any large salary offered for newcomers. The opportunities are still there.
2.) Tech has been fairly flat for growth. Government jobs are reporting strong growth along with hospitality, and healthcare. Just what we need big government and higher taxes.
3.) The weather sucks 4 months out of the year, dark, lack of sunny days. It’s a beautiful place though.
Big tech ruined it.
Overheard NYC has become like 💩 too real quick due to big tech.
I've heard this about New York City, San Francisco, Austin, and Boston as well. Seems like wherever tech bros go, ruin is soon to follow.
I can tell you one thing I don't even know how Seattle was the dream destination for anyone haha. I don't know if it is just from living here for so long but I hate the weather here and if it weren't for my husband having a really good job here we would have already left.
I’m in the same boat - im 26F and want to leave so bad but I can’t find a job anywhere else that pays as well as my current company
The data cited in this article is pretty useless and doesn’t warrant an article let alone a fb post
