Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe during the holiday season. I wanted to take a moment to highlight a role that I’m hiring for - Sr. Learning & Talent Development Partner. If you’re interested, I’ve added to the Fishbowl jobs board - https://joinfishbowl.com/job_rpc2p5vsvq. Feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to chat. :)

Absolutely! Good luck to you!
Certification will definitely give you a good chance to ask for a raise. Getting the CPP exam will also give you a good chance to be a candidate for future managerial promotions. Just do well on your role right now.
Yes, it will. Some companies give a higher salary to applicants with certification. It would be worth it and helpful.
I will tell you from an employer who is in construction with certified payroll requirements due to prevailing wage jobs this is a highly desired certification. If you have experience in California even more. We are looking at paying a contractor 76 plus an hour (marked up through agency, it's around 55 per hour) to come in right now due to an employee on leave.
Is the company willing to reimburse you for the exam?
No I just started this role. I would have to wait 6 months. But the next open window is in October to sit in April of 2023 for testing.
It sounds like you have plenty of time to study for the exam, and a certification certainly makes you more attractive to recruiters. I have a PHR, and I’m considering getting the CPP as well. I don’t know if I have enough bandwidth for the studying
I have neither. I’m 40y/o had my children at a young age I feel like now is my time to shine.
Thanks!
