With 15+ years as an account executive in the post acute space, I am looking to pivot to healthcare tech and saas. The company I interviewing with is a startup and doesn’t require previous saas experience, but industry success and knowledge. Being able to identify pain points within the acute and post acute space and comfortability in terms of selling a solution is most important. Anyone successfully make this pivot and be offered a position over candidates with direct saas background?

Not looking for the narrative arc of How I Built This or Masters of Scale. Instead, looking to uncover specific problems faced by companies that tried something new for the first time. What did they not see coming, how did they adapt and measure, etc.

What are your thoughts on this format?

So, I just joined a startup. No processes, no clear strategy, just one goal: selling. Getting leads. When ever I try to build a strategy, they (founders) swamp me with blablabla stories and not a single action plan. Is this the usual at startups? Also,no real company culture. At all. No HR.
