With a recession looming, how concerned should I be with corporate layoffs. Accepted a job with a big4 and don’t start till mid summer.

The week of my wedding, my husband (PL SQL Developer 4 yoe) was laid off. That was a couple of weeks ago. I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do. How hard is it going to be to for me to find a new job? Should I just stay and try things out? What next?

I have two job offers, one offers a salary of 61.5k and the other job offers an hourly rate of $27.65 with $41.48 for OT, as well as Sales Incentive Compensation Plan where the annual target incentive compensation is 42.86%. In other words, I could potentially receive quarterly bonuses that add up to around $24,650. However, that bonus isn’t guaranteed according to the offer letter and is contingent on my and my clients performance. Should I take the first job or second job?
