With springtime approaching and warmer temperatures, it usually makes me feel better and more motivated. Have you noticed this? When the weather changes, if you live in a temperate area of the country where there are defined winter and summer, do you feel more motivated in your job when it gets warmer? What has been your experience?

Oh yes. I get bad seasonal depression, and then whatever the opposite of that is when the warm weather rolls around. Seasonal optimism? I don't know. But either way, once we're halfway into April my mood vastly improves.

I agree with you whenever warm weather comes around, at least at the very beginning of it. It makes me so happy. I'm not a person who likes extremely hot weather. I'd like to be outside whenever you don't have to wear a coat and you're not sweating, but I agree with you. It's a great time of the year.

I notice a big shift in myself. Warmer weather lifts my energy and mood, which definitely carries into how I feel at work.

Seasonal depression my friend. From someone who grew up in the midwest where a majority of the year its overcast and dreary, I couldn't believe how much my mood drastically improved when I moved to the southeast where it's sunny a majority of the time. We really need to be exposed to sunshine for optimal mental health.

I live in Canada with -40c winter and +40c summers (-40f to 104f I think). There is a brief period between those seasons where the outside is livable. I am so excited for that period to arrive. Given that it is the end of March and we have been getting snow all day though, I think I have a while yet to wait.
